This is important, if I am to help because LC circuits (or ¼ wave resonance) can be driven at limited phase ranges only and if the PLL is driving the Grenade then it can do so only at certain phases and it is possible that the same PLL cannot drive the "Kacher" in synch with the current waveform at the same time, if the LC oscillation (or ¼ wave resonance) is to be sustained.


P.S.
The DG4102 can do everything that the TL494 can...and with a phase detector it can replace the CD4046, too.

i tried to make up a block diagram, i think its something like the first diagram below.

The feedback detail can be seen on the second diagram lower left corner
As i have heavy current (75A pp) flowing (reactive) in this inductor the 50 turns secondary of the current xformer picks up lots of power.
But more important, it seems to peak on the voltage and not on the current which it suppost to do as a "current" Xformer and as can be
seen in the second diagram (guess J max means I max = current max)

Instead the screenshot below of my situation shows that the kacher fires at U max (yellow = voltage across the inductor/bifilar, green the current through the inductor/bifilar)

I tried severall current Xformers, switched to the other PLL driver (180°) signal with the switch and adjusted the severall pots to no avail.


By the way,  the TL494 board is not for me to use, just some info for other to use it if needed.

Hi Itsu. You really made a good work with sync. I 'd like to ask where do you measure this HF imposed voltage? Where do you sense this current waveform? At Grenade's side?

Hi Jeg,

the purple kacher signal (HF) i pickup with the probe hanging 5cm above the antenna.
The current (green trace) i measure with my P6302 current probe at the inductor/bifilar coil, see drawing.
The voltage (yellow trace) i measure also at the inductor/bifilar coil, but across it, see also the drawing.

By the way, this current xformer as shown here (between the cap C2 and the inductor) is not the position i have it and it is not the position it is drawn in the Allegga drawing.
There it is put between the 3-turn coil and the C2 cap, and there is it in my setup!!
