Thanks T-1000. Using a FET driving the inductor winding directly would seem to rule out the current peak being
due to the ferrite core then. Interesting. Are you seeing this current peak in your own tests T-1000? If so, around
which frequency? I will give this a try shortly...

Things are slow in my side and the next check probably will be over Easter in the lab if plans won't change. And I will see how this go according to Ruslan and Roman(akula) explanations. Would be nice to rule out copper NMR as well and I shall see about it.

Ok, I will give this current peak test a try and report back if I see anything worthy of mentioning.
Fabrice Andre, and Ruslan as well if I recall correctly, mentioned something about using
oxygen free copper, so something like NMR going on in copper may still be a possibility.

The grenade coils have to be oxygen free copper wire in all cases. The best source of it is the speaker wire which require high quality copper without additives for hifi speakers.
The time will tell what exactly is going on there.

Hmm, OK. I am just testing with regular house-use copper electrical wire. Apparently the conductivity of regular copper
wire and oxygen free copper wire is about the same, I think only 1% difference or so, but I guess it is possible
that whatever the differences are at the molecular level could make a difference in regards to NMR or related.
Do you know if Akula ever mentioned anything about using oxygen free copper wire?

Discusses some scenarios for you wire and I remembered how someone conducted experienced speaker copper wire and magnet attracted to him?
whether this is due to low quality "more steel"
- and the copper wire or the magnetizes what is going on?
