I am assuming that this device has a "Yoke" core as it's basis? I have nothing available, no TV shops in my area have them!! So could a large Ferrite ring core be pressed into service? After all, if I have the right schematic in mind, it is but a step down transformer! But is this where the magic Russian "secret ingredient" lies dormant within the core!!

On another note I have a spare scope you can have but I suspect it would cost more to ship than it is worth!!
