Are we to consider it feasible that Kapanadze used this principle to boost / condition a hidden high capacity battery (the trick?) such that it could power an inverter for long enough to maintain the lamp load for the durations shown in his various demos??

The circut diagram was shown in the older video of mine.It so happen i found the spec for my flyback by chance i then merely used the flyback internal coil for the feedback and the driving.There are some video in internet which show us on how to find the ground for the hv flyback transformer.

If you are talking about the ramp up wave form shown in the Chinese Don-smith video then that's a good start.For single burst there are many nodes present.Something like a higher frequency present for every burst as seen in the scope.
The capacitors in black looks like meant for induction heater.Around 5uf for the big ones and around 220nf....330nf for the small black capacitor.
