Akula looks quite young in the photo. I seem to recall from what he said in the video that he wanted to pass his device to his grand children; why not his children?

Many thanks for your links and encouragement. However Barium titanate may well be a problem to get here in the UK. You almost need a permit for "Bath salts" these days!! We suffer from what is generally known as the "Nanny State"!!

I have a temporary fix going at the moment, I have managed to use an A3 lamination pouch which is just about holding. There is quite a smell of Ozone rising from my vertical coil!! Loading the inner core coil with Ferrite rings has lowered the resonance point and I am now running with unsmoothed DC from 35 V AC through T1 into the main coil. And dear Nick we have 5 dimly lit 60 Watt bulbs. I told you I would let you know first!!

Now the many hours of testing can begin.......

   Good, I hope that's a start in the right direction. Like the light at the end of the tunnel.
   Are you using a spark gap now? As most any gap when using high voltage will produce that ozone smell, as well as the hiss sound. Which is why I prefer to not have to use them inside my home.
   My Joule Ringer core is made of 4 or 5 ferrite beads, and outputs over 1000 volts. It's  actually too high a voltage as it burns out the small ac caps in most of the Cfl, and Led bulbs, after a while. As the wattage output is fairly high also, compared to an air core on the same input source. I would actually like to lower the Ringers voltage output, and raise the amps, to feed the Akula yoke device. As he mentions the need for high amps input.
  Still racking my dull brain cells trying to figure out just what this device (Akula device) needs to show some real output. 
  The only thing that I can trust at this point is what I see when analyzing the Akula  videos, not the supposed diagrams. As I had suspected,  they are ALL wrong.
  I'm still wondering where Akula is getting his ideas, as he is a very young guy, and both Romanov, as well as Tiger are still just trying to light a single bulb on several amps, even after years of working on this. 
  It does look like the induction heater idea is behind this device, though.
