Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

blah; how could I kill a relay?

I would think that if I just apply a battery +12/- and the LED lights, that the AC contacts should be shorted with an ohm meter....

@itsu:
Probably your MOSFET is blowing because you are exceeding the pulsed drain current, which in your case is 12A. The current in the drain will depend on the primary transformer inductance. Suppose it is 4uH, then, the current at the drain will reach V*tpulse/L which for 200V and 200 ns pulse width will go up to 10A, which is ok for your MOSFET. I'm using a IRF840, which stands up to 32A pulsed drain current, and I am not having problems. If your inductance is less than that, you will have problems. Also, you must have some margin, because when the core enters the saturation region, inductance falls a lot.

Making some progress.  I found an NTE part which doesn't drain 100% of the voltage like instantly.  Replaced coil with much higher inductance coil; the input to that coil is constant and doesn't see a voltage drop... but somehow the 150V manages to make it through and get to be driven to TR2.   Have to start the process with the nano pulser powered off so the main pumps can get everything to a stable level.  I'm up to about 60V output on L4... need to improve the resonance in L2

Also took a short clip of the output on TR2...   The rebounce is more visible on the diode side (end of the coax)... this is actually across just the secondary coil... I should do one that's comparitive there...  Unfortunatly hooking up probes is additional load that disturbs the balances (not horribly, but definatly)

Making some slow progress I think :)

May I suggest two MOSFET transistors connected in parallel (for testing) ...? Maybe it will work this way (more Amps supported). If you decide to do so take care how you will command your gates (current should be at least double).

Use High Voltage NMOS rated 800 or 1200V, 20 and more Amps for testing your ferrite core saturation point. Use HV clamp diode in parallel with ferrite coil. Use 74121 monostabile circuit for trimming pulse width from 40ns-28 sek. Use HV Oscillograph probe 15KV or more for measuremenrt KilloVolt pulses !!
