That's not mica.  Mica is the brittle transparent stuff from which the insulators between power transistors and heat sinks are made of.
I think this is advantageous for the normal transformer mode but not for the "special" mode.
I realize that GeoFusion did it this way and you're just replicating his design without other considerations.

The yellow current waveform bothers me because a current spike like this cannot happen in an inductor.  Perhaps this spike is not real and the scope probe is just picking it up by induction (not from the CSR). Try moving its cable around.
How did you calculate that?
Did you try to make the frequency of the current in the primary winding equal to ½ of the fundamental acoustic standing wave frequency?

I acknowledge that there might exist a different kind of electricity that is ruled by different rules then those recognized to date, but if that is so, then those new rules should be analyzed and logically followed.

Now, dear Sergey has posted a rather elegantly simple schematic. See attached. I have a question regarding the secondary tank circuit. With there being a diode in series with L & C would that mean the capacitor value would have to be half that of the normal resonant frequency?

You are very welcome! For what poeple says, good i.m.o. that you could continue any way to put a maximum of logic and rigour here, so efficiency in the search.

Understand but think it is more that the present rules are not largely known nor understood, especially in said scientists who know often even nothing of the history of their own discipline. Who really knows and understand all the aspects of the Maxwell's equations?! Only half of these aspects or even less, are tought in engineering school, even for electricity specialists!
