Just for the record.. concerning the "royer" or mazzili oscillator with 2 BJT instead of MOSFETs, i found that in a case that the resistance in series to base and especially any capacitance in parallel to that resistance (1-10nf) greatly alters the amplitude of voltage in the tank circuit.

eg. one case p-p 10v and the other 30v. same all other variables. I cannot tell really how the switching of the transistors affects the voltage.. especiialy the greater the capacitance in series to base (thus better the switching, i guess) the smaller the p-p amplitude.
