The TL494 outputs square wave. For push-pull circuit to get sine wave you need capacitor across entire primary coil (also it has to handle high amperage and voltage) and adjust to same resonant frequency as another capacitor in series to the output transformer.
The rest of circuit is induction heater part with single function - to create maxed magnetic field on output transformer primary. The output canceling bifilar coils are in series need to be similar to http://realstrannik.ru/media/kunena/attachments/630/aquarium-1.gif ( http://realstrannik.ru/media/kunena/attachments/630/aquarium-2.png ) then the load does not affect primary so much...

Good luck in experiment, hopefully you will try and see yourself :)

P.S> If you manage to make it and tune to resonances, the next step is to add Tesla coil influennce into play for interrupting magnetic field on output transformer primary...

Thanks for the clarification T-1000. I was referring to a previously posted Akula driver circuit with the IR2110/2113 MOSFET driver IC, but I believe what you have said should also apply to that driver circuit as well. I have another project on the go right at the moment, but, yes, I would like to try some experiments with this sort of driver circuit and output coil arrangement as soon as I can get the chance.

In the schematic posted a few posts back in msg # 4642, does anyone know the number of turns on each secondary winding on the output air core transformer?
Also, what is the origin of that circuit?

But soon enough otherwise I have to lend my friend's scoop soon again and see the results.

Well Void, it's the right moment to try it out :)! give it a try and anyone els that does understand what is happening here try to replicate.
Only when you try, you will see a difference for sure :).

in msg # 4642, the output coils, I think you could give it a try with any winds amount, see what the outcome would be :).
I would try 3 layers of 48. or less.

Yes, I understand :) and to all what I know till now and see befor my eyes it is so in a way. Yes, the circuit has to be build in such a way it has to handle high amperage and voltage.

I've also been following Realstrannik.ru for a quite while, and have a bit contact with some fo the guyz in there.
That is how I came to understand what is actually going on.
but the pictures you provides of the bifilar coil is what I also am using in a way :), did build 2 versions of it to see which one is best. (output coils)

In that latest Akula/Ruslan schematic you posted, I can see that down at the bottom is the
main square wave driver circuit for driving the output air transformer primary, which we have
discussed a little already, and just above it appears to be a 12VDC to 24VDC step up power supply,
but I don't know what the function of the circuit section is for which is above in the top left hand area
of the schematic (labeled KAYEP)? It looks like an oscillator, but do you know what purpose it
serves in this circuit? Thanks for posting this circuit. Do you have this circuit or similar self running, or
is that a different circuit?
