  It looks like Ruslan is not using the old round Russian transistor for his Kacher part of the crt now. It looks like the TIP3055 type now, but the 2N3055 should work well, also. It's mounted on a very small heatsink, and with no fan.
  From what I can see, the SG size and intensity from the second Akula device is of lower voltage (about 2000v or less), low amps type. No RF burns.  2 mm sparks.

  Itsu: Thanks for the video link to your Kacher readings. Your Kacher is much bigger than what it being used by Akula/Ruslan, it almost twice the size/turns.
Input voltage used is the same, 24v.  So, I figure that their Kacher output voltage is about 1/2 of yours, or less, with low mAs, as well. It's also has silent SG. It may be wound with about 200 turns of 22gauge, wire, or so
It would still be interesting to know just what all the exact coil winding specs are though.

No. Tesla coil have sine.

A negative voltage pulse on the peak of 220V will force the coil to react with a positive current pulse!

I have some 3055. Can they do the job for katcher?

For 1,4-1,5 megaherc its is to slow. For 500 kiloherc and lower its is normal.
