which is actually 4x frequency?   sorta depends on how you're looking at it...  3x ferquency is 2nd octave?  x*2*2?   2x would be 1 octave... so 440 - 880 ... so 3x would be another octave... so in hz, it's *4?

sim doesn't look very promising at all... but in reality the circuit does work and has as much power at least as the input... where this only shows mW over the load resistor

The capacitor charge and discharge cycles are different:
1) The capacitor is charged from 0V to max voltage by Tesla coil
2)  The capacitor is half discharged to critical point to the load then is left to recharge. This is very important as current required to recharge capacitor is much smaller than to recharge from 0v. This is why I posted info earlier to university page about capacitor charging.

I do not see any current measurements in your scope on earth grounding wire coming from grenade coil. You have to measure it and have it on maximum value on proper resonant frequency. As soon as you hit it your coil will have maximum pumping effect. Then the rest of tuning apply to that frequency...

Yup; that's the same... really one diode is the same as 2 with one side super high resistance... just uses capactiance of the diode instead...  (I guess) I mean a single diode also worked to get max differential across that cap.


I guess... without the load, how high can you get for a charge ?
