Unless I'm mistaken, this latest Ruslan design has no induction heater winding either--just a synchronized nanosecond generator connected to what appears to be white coax cable wrapped around the one end of the grenade coil.  He also has replaced the yoke core with a standard E-core transformer.

Good stuff.

I'd like to see his simplified schematic...

You are right  just do not know how it is constructed coil LC -and what current and voltage controls
I guess this is how it looks:
coil wire 0.75mm something along the entire length of the coil
pulses are delivered to the coaxial cable!
whole repetition of the past Dally generator.

Ruslan just showed 200+250W load bulbs fully lit from 24V ~= 1.3A power source and used nanosecond pulse generator instead of Tesla coil in the video.

For the Dally circuit you may reference one in http://www.liveinternet.ru/users/edward_lee and see how much it is deviated in Ruslan setup.
One thing is different between Dally and Ruslan setups is the grenade coil as in Dally version there was much smaller biilar coil under coax cable and also it included remant of Tesla coil underneath.

Also if to look what common is between Tesla coil and nanosecond pulse generator in this setup the logical clue remains about hitting with sharp resonant pulse on right period of time for creating explosive longitudinal wave in grenade coil which affects the output. This still can be referred to the crude approaches such as the step-up transformer brought near coil/antenna which take HV discharge from capacitor over spark gap. That still make bulbs shine much brighter than just from the inverter itself.

So this design seems to indicate the low frequency coil is underneath the resonant tank (168 turn) coil with the coax HV impulse coil over the one side where the kacher antenna coil was located.


Still the same general idea, hetrodyne mixing (low freq with high frequency pulses). The grenade main coil is resonant around 8mhz the way it is wound typically, the low frequency stated is around 260 to 270 times lower, the question in my mind is do we want a even or odd harmonic on the low frequency side? I think again it comes back to determining the main coils resonant point (frequency) and building the HV so that it sync's with the low frequency so the pulses are reinforcing the tank circuits resonance (kicks).

So is this creating a rogue wave scenario in the tank circuit? dunno...

All in all I am thinking, as I always have, that the challenge is to tweak each circuit to reinforce their resonant points, the challenge and the look of it is they use diodes to tap the energy from the large inductor (Grenade) circuit and storing it in another capacitor and drive a load.
