i wanted to investigate if i could use my spectrum analyzer with tracking generator to plot the ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) of a capacitor.

The below video shows that it is possible and what the effect is when paralleling severall different value capacitors.

These are non-polarised capacitors, and i will do the same for electrolytic capacitors later.

Perhaps usefull to keep in mind when trying to silence an oscillating circuit.

Thanks a lot. How nice to learn this way about such things like ESR. Next time i'll think it twice about what decoupling caps i 'll use to my builds.

Thanks for your reply. I think we all agree that 100% elimination of tricks on video is not possible. Its not a case of me wanting to believe its a fake, just that I consider it very likely that trickery was involved, in the absense of anything that strongly indicates otherwise. Or to put it more simply, I have a different way of looking at this than you.

We would have to go back to somewhere at the beginning of this topic or the other kapanadze topic which reveal how "Wesley" or stivep went over himself and did a visual inspection on the only wire which was connected to Earth or Iron slab which was part of the floor.

After this inspection his laboratory was upgraded with various high end equipment.If you can still remember old history since you guys were here longer than i am.

I got nothing to add to justify your visual inspection of x-wires for this device belonging to Tariel.

I added a PS to my post 12868 yesterday, to say that I had confirmed to myself that the images I posted were not wires / cables. If this video was produced with the intention of impressing would be investors, then Tariel chose a very poor environment for this demonstration. The Aqua2 demo was a lot more convincing IMO.

With regards to the device connected to the iron slab inspected by Wesley, I am fairly confident that the earth wire was not the conduit for the power supply operating that particular device. Whilst on the subject of earth wires, I'm wondering why Tariel went to the trouble in casting the earth rod into raised concrete blocks in both the Aqua2 and 2015 videos. Any thoughts on this anyone?

Visual concealment of the trick methodology - that's the skill of the magician and by my reckoning Kapanadze has more than enough of that to fool an inspection team that is only allowed a close visual look at a screwed down earth lead lug. It most certainly is possible to visually conceal two conductors of sufficient gauge to power the electric fire using the braid to lug fixing arrangement shown. I have done this myself running a 2KW rated fire over a similar length of run.

Hi Hoppy. Anything is possible, but its hard to imagine people would spend a bunch of money
to go see a Kapanadze demo in person and not have it at the top of their list to make sure the
ground wire connection point does not contain hidden or live wires. There are only three external wires to inspect.
The ground wire and the two output wires. Its hard to imagine people would go to all that trouble and expense
to go over there and not make a point of checking the ground connection point very carefully, but you could be
right with your contention that they were all very mentally handicapped. I think the odds are at least as good for the mice.

Its obvious that some of what you have said got back to Tariel,
hes helper put hes tongue  on the ground braid funnest crap I have ever seen.Completely useless proves nothing,what an idiot,he should have cut the braid in half and  showed it to the camera
no center wire then tied the ends together in a knot.To get a more believable video,they should have put a connection  for the various devices close to the transparent box,this way it would make it very hard to say theres an x-wire.An oscilloscope picture of the output would yield massive information without giving away any details how to build it.The ground connection I believe is a hook,the hook is
what causes a massive ground current to flow,thats how it works,of course thats bs.Tariel
wants people to believe its a Tesla invention,showing there is no mystical current is a bad idea,its a confusion tactic.
A lot of people here believe Tesla is a god and discovered free energy,
so believe its related to Tesla stuff it is not.I don't believe
any of that and I know you don't either.Without the ground disconnected and the device filmed it will always be suspected its fake,he can't never do this because it would imply it is not
a Tesla invention,and doesn't need the ground,its an impasse.I believe the device is very simple
very crude,easy to make by probably a very large number of people in here,so he will take that information to hes grave.Contrary to general beliefs you will not make jack shit even if you knew how to build it,too many thieves,too easy to build.Tariel looks better
so we should see more videos as he burns more people and gives them nothing.
