Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

My question is why 338 works at high temperature even If i haven't any load attached to 4011? Is it because of the voltage divider (120Ω - 1000 Ω) between its output and adjustment pin? Any other possible reason?
I see 3 likely possibilities:
1) You reversed the pinout on the LM338
2) The 2.2μF cap has shorted
3) The 4011 IC went into an SCR Latchup (read about it) because the voltage at its input pins (or output pins) was temporarily forced to be higher than its VCC.

I am not giving advice here how to construct a self-runner.
I am giving advice on general experimenting principles and I'm comparing the chances of success with measurements and without them.

My dear verpies - there is only one chance for sucess -  BTG must be made with or without complex measurements and computer simmulations !!

People here want you joint force at bulding and tunning BTG !! Yes this is quite undiscovered area but once upon the time must be illuminated against main stream scientific ignorance !!

-----------------------------------
Now come back to technical side discussion !!

You could do some experimental research and give people here replacement for hardly tunable Katcher hardware introducing yourself precise adjustable solid state KICK-DRIVER based on Pack of Drift Step Recovery Diodes. For pure Katcher replacement it need to give variable nonosecond pulse durations, sharp slopes timings and very high voltage amplitudes 30-60kV with high peak powers for accelarating conduction electron currents in Grenade.

Main KICK DRIVER rule : Must be simple to build and simple to adjust !!

I think main problem to all is making clean HV unipolar impulse/s with precise kick times (bursts timing).

Удачного дня !!
До встречи.

Hi Verpies
Indeed, 4011 went into an scr latchup! For some reason, as long as i increase the switching frequency, lm338's output voltage is decreasing! At certain limit it falls down, lower than 7V at which my FG is configured to output! Why is that happening? With mosfet driver and mosfet switch both connected, lm338 gives me a 12V gate pulse up to about 200KHz. When i increase it more, gate voltage decreases to under 10V. If i decrease the frequency lower than 100KHz, voltage goes higher than 12V. The same happens with only 4011 connected, but with a decrease in voltage lower than 12V when i reach about 300KHz. Any idea?

(As for IC's decoupling i used for both 4011 and tc4022, a 100nF and 33uF caps. A 2,2uF tantalium at 338's output, no capacitor yet for 24V input bypassing other than a 100nF ceramic cap.
In addition, 24V power supply for 338 is out of two uncharged 12V batteries)

Thanks Conico. The proposed diode is for protection in case of an output shortcut. I omit it as my 12V output is well below the limit which is specified from datasheet for using protection diodes.
(Your drains look very nice ;))

Now come back to technical side discussion !!
Привет,

I see you are posting lots of stuff from other people who did not have success in OU devices.
Do you have own setup to share instead? This is where it would matter when discussing about it.
