Hi that's an interesting modification your showing, in or for the original device as it
would help stabilize the bias better, but i feel ether a sophisticated protection circuit is in need
of whats known a current limiting self resetting fuse needs adding using a Mos-Fet circuit like a P-Channel
and latching device would be simple and cost effective.

Excellent for experimentation work of course a Quarts Halogen lamp from  the dollar/ pound land 10 or 50 watt bulb can be used if 1 or 5 amps is ok if a fault current likes that is ok through everything you test.

One of the Russian speaking guys was discussing how the katcher circuit device worked 'in Russian language'
and he was saying the katchers coil was more or a magnetic vortex generator than spark generator
yet Ruslan shows a spark plug in action but then his device used a LOPT out of a TV for transferring
energy from one coil to another (good for blowing stuff up around the house) and also producing other unhealthy energy.

Talking of Lanca I find some of that history odd a connection with his appearing first on this channel, no matter though,
