Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Here is one way to avoid the MAX_QUESTIONS resource error.
More database users can be created and rotated randomly. This way, each user will be given the 100 000 limit.
See here.

Hi All,
sorry for the late reply.
I was still traveling with only slow GPRS phone network in the last few days, when my hoster Servage decided to close the database, cause it went over 500 MBytes
and after a few hours of debate with them they finally opened it up again and gave me a few more Megabytes.....

Then 2 days later their File server crashed and it took almost 2 days until they got this fixed....
Damn...

Also still sometimes the 100.000 queries per hour still drags the forum down...

Now I will soon move the site to a new hoster and also use a different forum software.
I want to use http://simple-press.com/ and still have to see, how I get this converted to this Wordpress based forum software.

But with using Wordpress as the base software we will have many more features and good plugins to do all much smoother....

So stay tuned...

P.S. Editied The Playlist feature a bit more on the overunity.com homepage, so you can
see now all the single videos inside the playlist by scrolling left or right....so the videos are
faster to access..

Regards, Stefan.

Stefan,

I recently tried to migrate from SMF to WordPress. I regret the time I wasted on this. It was hell on earth.
I lost time and data, and the result was awful.  Users complained the most about WordPress being slow (despite the same server) and wasting screen space (less info fit on their screen)

I don't recommend it.

P.S.
I think it is a good idea to move to a better hosting plan. 500MB database limit and 100 000 query limit and fileserver crashes are a joke and constitute evidence that the present hosting provider is not treating you seriously and is overselling their server resources.

I described how to work around the 100 000 database metadata query limit in my previous message.

Just my thoughts on this-

A crashed file server does not take 2 days to fix, a hacked one does.

Wordpress is the most hacked CMS around, and its a blog not a forum. Take a site this size and run it through a plug-in to convert WP and you are in for trouble.

100000 queries per hour are most likely you AND the other sites that are sharing your MySql server.

500mb Db is huge- you have got some cleaning up to do there  :o

Be careful switching hosting providers, its very easy to go from bad to worse.

Take a look at IP.Board, its fast and offers a free converter for SMF

Whatever you do good luck- its a lot of work  :-\
