Magnetic field question

Is it possible to completely isolate... lets say... the north pole on a magnet? So that the south pole is completely nullified and cannot attract any nearby magnets north pole or metals. Can this be done with some sort of sheilding?

Also wouldnt it make more sence in the case of the Perendev motor to place the magnets at an imbedded angle in the flat surface of the rotor disk rather than the outer edge?

as far as i know, no one has done this.  not to say impossible, just not done yet.  a  halbauch array will reduce one field and increase the other (i think this is the right way to say it).  have a look at this for a better explaination.

a google search for "magnetic shielding" will produce a long list of things to read.

the Perendev motor  that i think you are referring to probably can be put together many different ways.  i think the inventor arranged it this way to allow stator movement to control rpm.  i think the only way to get the definitive, is to ask the inventor directly.

Till now it is possible to have powerfull blocked (isolated) poles and that poles can be easily (with low power)
unblocked and released. Hildenbrand motor is a very good approach  and it really works in FE mode...but it is easier to build this type which has to have even better ratio (strong output field):(input current)

What you can do is deviate the poll left or right so it may seem the poll is blocked, but it's not really blocked, just deviated.
