Your logical fallacy is astounding and almost childish in nature.  Yes, it is possible to have voting fraud with machines.  However, the probability of voting fraud actually occurring for any given machine is somewhere between 0 and 100%.  Most people would agree that there is not fraud 100% of the time, in fact there is probably fraud less than 10% of the time and most likely less than 1% of the time.  If you have your own figures, I am all ears.

What you are basically deciding to do is say, "Well, I am assuming there will be fraud, so what is the point of voting?"  Well, what if there is no fraud?  You could have voted and had your vote count.  And if there was fraud, your vote would not have made a difference anyway.

So there is no disadvantage to voting, but there is a great disadvantage to not voting, in that you lose your chance to be part of the election process.

For once i have to agree with something shrugged has said in this thread. While the possibility remains that there could be fraud it is a certainty that you hurt the cause by not voting while only a possibility that you achieve nothing in voting.

BTW there is a movement under way to have a system in place before the 2008 elections in which we all mail copies of our vote with Identification in so a secondary source has solid irrfutable evidence of a real count.

There are also state bills which are being put forward to prevent the electoral representatives from voting as they see fit. As it stands the Rep can choose to vote in opposition of the majority for his state.

I hear you - when you say that 911 truthers are like creationists.  But, I'm sad to say, your logic is flawed.

In that argument... people are trying to say that their version of god created the world.  They are trying to represent the creator.
Truth is that we have no idea what existed before the big bang.  Could have been a flying spaghetti monster who started the whole damn thing.
But the truth is that natural selection is at work... and there could have been an intelligence behind the big bang.

With 9/11 we all agree with what we saw.  There is no doubt about the planes.
But there is doubt about the buildings falling as a result of the planes.  1 and 2 are suspect... but 7 is the real smoking gun.

The pancake theory was put forward... but the NIST as since said that the pancake theory was wrong.

There has been no official explanation of the collapse of the buildings.  I have a letter from the NIST that states that they only studied the events up to the point of failure.  Meaning they did not study the collapse beyond the failure of the floors where the plane hit.  So there is no official theory or explanation on how the building collapsed.
And that's just 1 and 2.  Building 7 is untouched by official bullshit.

9/11 is like this - we see a masked man stab a woman in the chest.  The police say they have the man in the mask.  The body was seen decapitated... and then quickly removed from the scene.
You are saying - we say "him" stab her.  He did it.
And I am saying.... how did her head fall off.... and why was the body removed without an investigation?
You are saying - the police are just stupid... they didn't know to look for evidence... and besides... we saw him stab her.
