Hi   all                                                                    PLEASE HELP ME 
I am very interesting to make a joule thief, now i can make a JT drive it  by 1 AA battery with one led and more over than 50 led`s connected it in parallel  but the bright is low I thing it`s because the  resistor are not actual , so I place the variable resistor (  key voice radio ) turned it to right and to left to get the maximum bright , but the light still not so bright , when i put more led`s bright go down, i try to put the led`s in serial the circuit not work. Can any one help me to get the best bright or the bright will still not    so  bright .
When it drive the circuit with 4  or 6 volts it`s work  very will and bright is good  , so I thing the easy way for me to charge the battery ( 4 or 6 volt )
and use the charge battery to light the led`s.
I very interesting to do a JT because where I live the electricity turned off for 8 hours and some time more than 12 hour`s , I see over than 100 videos, I am very interesting with the  XEE2 video , how he can turned DC to AS with the small and easy circuit and turned on the xenon or flour tube, I try do do that and I have from three AA battery ( 3 volt) over than 200 volt AC but the flour tube not give the normal light ,
I get up and go to sleep without electricity , so I am need to light my house and light my live ( if it possible ).
Because I not a specialist on electric so need help and easy circuit to do it
The 2nd problem with me and many people like me   it`s the heat because I live in Syria ( Damascus ) now there are no fuel , no electricity , no  . . and if we can get it the price is very very and very hi , i work a civil engineer with 150 to 200 $ per month . I see the interesting circuit by DON SMITH and by another man me be GENTGADMAN  ( I am sorry if the name not correct ) I ask if can i use the transformer from AC to DC to work it

Hello,

What setup are you using?  We would need more information to help you.  To help out I will assume you are using the most basic crt configuration.  Let's say you have a ferrite with a secondary of 10 turns and a primary of five.  This setup will light LED's but depending on your configuration not very brightly.  To overcome this wind 100 turns on the secondary using a fine gauge wire i.e. 30 and 5 on the primary.  This will not give you much higher voltage spikes which will make the LED's brighter.
