Here is what puzzles me:

What are those BIG BLACK CIRCULAR CANS on the side of the motor and Gen?  Any ideas from anybody?

It's the gloves, I don;t trust the gloves. Is the device so clean it is in a dust proof room and can only be touched with clean gloves ? It's a joke.

My guess is that there is a grid feed at or near the light board, which feeds both the lights and the generator as a motor when the other grid plug is removed.
