Im having some fun with my second attempt at a Slayer Exciter, and I'm getting some really cool effects.   I made two vids and put them on youtube, but I also have some questions for the people who have one or so and are still interested in messing around with it.

Ive got my output lead on the positive of a 15w incandescent bulb, and I decided to grab the radio and start scanning frequencies.... I'm getting some absolutely wild sounds out of it!  From a wobbly whiny squelchy sound, to several tones at the same time, to a funky 'dingy' tone (for lack of any better words to describe them).   Has anyone else gotten these types of effects?  If anyone is interested in it, i'll post the vids I made so ppl can hear the noises.   they span from 530 kHz all the way to my lowest Mhz setting ( 88 Mhz)

Heres the first vids I made of me lighting an argon filled neon-style bulb, a 100W HPS, and the 15w incandescent that I'm talking about here.  No noises though... hadn't thought to do the radio check at that point.

I've noticed that I have the L1 switched around and am getting higher voltage, transmission distance, and some current out of my device.  When I have it set up properly, it doesn't heat my transistor up, but it also doesn't create ANY plasma. I've also noticed that after playing with it, I have to ground myself out before I touch my computer's touchpad or it makes the pointer go crazy!!  This probably isn't anything new to most of you, but I'm finding it pretty fascinating.  I have some vid of some plasma streamers in an incandescent bulb I'm considering uploading...  anyone know of a free, good video editor??   I started this thread to try to get some pointers and cool experiments to try out with this, but it seems that no one cares.  Maybe because I'm new, or maybe because they feel that there is nothing in it for them.

Are you all out there trying to find something you can profit off of and not just playing with anything, or something????  :P

Loser

I am a loser who has a slayer exciter like you. But mine is glitchy and has a... "bad temper" as you can call it. I need a fellow slayer player to solve it for me and teach me stuff.

Loser

Sorry, I did not and do not mean to call you a loser. I just need help :'(
