Hallo friends.

As the situation is, spark gaps are a 'need' in our research work. I am looking for simple materials easy to find for making a static spark gap working endlessly without problems. I want something that can handle all the heat with only help of an air blower. My copper pipe electrodes seems to work well with the help of the blower, but i am sure that there are more materials that can handle more power without melting the metals. Do you have something to propose? Any help would be appreciated.

I'd almost swear I dated a girl with those...oh, THOSE spark gaps.

Mscoffman thank you. I wonder where someone can find such a material. Do you know if it is a hard or soft metal ? Is there any device or something where I could find it?

Try this solid state tesla coil if you have a problem in spark gap  :)
