Roth, I know what you meant, however you will need extremely efficient machines in succession in order to make the project worth building full scale.  This is what makes the whole idea unfeasible. The necessity of building numerous machines combined with the required energy to lift the water to starting point creates a massive meteor crator in the ROI before leaving the box.  Leave the box.

The future, if there is one, regarding 'free' energy, is in nano and sub-nano materials.

Consider the current limits of efficiency in producing electricity via EM induction.  This is where much fertile soil remains unturned on the frontier of energy research.  Study what occurs at induction itself, then consider ways to make the process more efficient than simply passing wires at right angles to magnetic fields.

Perhaps start with a simple deskstop experiment such as trying to find the most efficient way of causing one magnet to flip over with another magnet.  Once you are satisfied with your results, begin searching for ways to cause repeated interactions such that one or several PMs (permanent magnets) can reliably cause one or several other magnets to flip repeatedly.

After you are successful, you may dream of ways to increase efficiency such that no longer are costly mechanical interactions required.  But instead, accurately structured materials may be produced that generate copious amounts of energy by passing through magnetic fields at no cost.

Massive amounts of energy potential go unnoticed every day.  In fact, the greater the energy potential, the more subtle the avenues of exploitation often remain.

This is by design.

How hard are you 'really' willing to work to get something for 'free'?  And once you get it, how long do you wish to be able to share/enjoy it?

These are important questions to consider before beginning a journey of lasting importance.
