"Disrespectful" sure. Everyone knows, or should know, North Korea's propaganda revolves around hatred for the US. It's no surprise that he ended up tortured and brutalized. He was probably innocent of any wrongdoing anyway.

Don't spout this garbage that North Korea is some happy wonderful place. The citizens are literally slaves to the regime that have been taught their leader is a god. They live in constant fear of a US invasion because fear is the only way the government can control them. Watch the documentaries about people that successfully fled the country, and tell me how they feel about North Korea.

Don't forget how much the North Korean people suffer before you start praising their twisted, evil government.
