Hi Tinman glad to see your still here.
I'm testing with the motor right now.
Farmhand if you put a bridge on each field coil ,charge a small cap bank, short one coil dump the caps to the other coil then reverse the operation ,then repeat.
Add a boost circuit, maybe that might be it?
I'm waiting for my boost circuits to arrive.
It does make quite a difference when you feed the stator coils seperately .

An attraction motor with an air core power coil could be discharged to send it's pulse straight back to the source battery and release the rotor magent at TDC. This would qualfy as a self runner, right? A matching capacitor would make it resemble an LC tank. A tiny battery could replenish the minimal loss. This concept can reverse and run in repulsion with the same pulse saver circuit. This would only take a few Reed switchs and a couple of diodes. I may be reinventing the "Ossie Motor".

I just realized I already built and tested this motor.
