What I am questioning is, cause and effect, as in what is the actual cause,, and what is the actual effect.

You have an understanding, that understanding came from how you were educated,, that came from teachers who themselves were educated.

Nothing new there,, that is how things work,, we play, we learn, we are given explanations, examples,, and the list goes on,, The bottom line is it all makes sense to us at some time and then, unfortunately for most,, they can only see things in the way that it makes "sense" to them.

I question lots of things and I try hard to NOT get stuck with only one way to see what I am playing with,, the problem is that just about all of the time what I have been taught in school works,, it is there and it is the first answer I often see,, sometimes it is the only answer I see.

Modern science is not storybook fantasy time.  Right, wrong or indifferent what we understand comes from countless painstaking experiments.

I have said this before,, just because something CAN do something, does NOT mean it must.

You yourself have stated that there is more than one way to find a solution, but there is only one right way to find the solution.

Are you sure that the methods you know how to use are the right and only way,, just because they provide a solution, does not mean they provide all solutions.   They may only provide a solution for the given set of specific conditions that were taught.
