In one day we see pages and pages of posts where  EMJ does little other than hurl insults.  He has made no attempt to rehabilitate Earl Koenig's hapless Mirror Symmetry paper.  That's the paper EMJ posted as supposedly giving support to EMJ's "partnered coil" claims.  Unfortunately for EMJ, Earl Koenig's own test data simply demonstrates what coil winders have known for over 150 years.

The results shown above indicate that four times more current can be used to generate a magnetic field with mirror image symmetry winding techniques.
The measured value of magnetic field of the mirror image symmetry configuration, measured at the center of the ends of the solenoid, is double that of the standard winding. The force available with a plunger in the solenoid was also measured to be twice that of the standard configuration.

Another way of looking at the results is to consider the economic advantages of using mirror image symmetry. The data suggest that a device wound with mirror image symmetry can produce the same effects with a greatly reduced amount of wire in a smaller package or produce a device with twice the power in the same size package as currenty available.

Koenig cut the original wire in half:  RHALF_WINDING = 0.5*RSTANDARD_WINDING
Koenig wound each of the wire halves onto the original solenoid form: RPARALLEL_WINDING = RHALF_WINDING_A || RHALF_WINDING_B = 0.25*RSTANDARD_WINDING
Magnetic field is proportional to the number of turns: N multiplied by the current I. 
I = V/R
IPARALLEL_WINDING/ISTANDARD_WINDING = RSTANDARD_WINDING/RPARALLEL_WINDING = 4.0
NPARALLEL_WINDING/NSTANDARD_WINDING = LENGTHPARALLEL_WINDING/LENGTHSTANDARD_WINDING = 0.5
N*IPARALLEL_WINDING/(N*ISTANDARD_WINDING) = 4.0 * 0.5 = 2.0
Koenig's measured field and force ratios: 
MPARALLEL_WINDING/MSTANDARD_WINDING = 0.01212T/0.00585T = 2.07
FPARALLEL_WINDING/FSTANDARD_WINDING = 340g/169g = 2.01

The measured field and force values closely align to the expected results of winding the solenoid with half as many turns of wire, with wire that has twice the area.  Such a coil generates the same magnetic, and power dissipation results when driven at half the voltage of the original.  Koenig simply overdrove the coil and got more field and more force at the expense of power efficiency and heating.  His data did not show value to the "mirror symmetry" that his paper touts.

Gentlemen,

I see that the 3 musketeers (TK, MarkE & Milehigh) are still at it lockstep.
I am not disputing any of the points presented here, except I see issues with the process on how it is done.

At times we need to learn to accept "NO" for an answer, sit back and re-evaluate.

The cost of effort & desire to achieve an objective over extended periods of time can be so dominant that it disallows to see the wood for the trees.  This should be taken into account during replies. It can be overcome by specific detail questions that refrain from comments that are too general or too vague. A process that applies both ways

PS:  I must give TK credit for a well detail documented rebutal regarding the Koening coil symmetry which was followed up on by MarkE with more details to clarify.

Perhaps you could identify any post by EMJ since he has returned that:

1) Supports his original refuted claims with any pertinent facts, OR
2) Supports modified claims with any pertinent facts

As occurred before his departure months ago, EMJ's posts are filed with ad hominem attacks and exclaimations but no facts that support his claims.  This latest venture into "Mirrored Symmetry" claims by Earl Koenig actually offers evidence against EMJ's claims.  Curiously, EMJ cited it.
