Or- .5V @ 500mA for 20 second's

You should also remember we are at 7KHz,so do you think the filament in the globe will cool in 1/7000th of a second before the next power hit?.

No need to test me... the later has the higher end energy output.

...but don't you think that if you would get a higher power output from the off time, the bulb would also be brighter on average?
...so do you think the filament in the globe will heat up in 1/7000th of a second before the next cool down?
... doesent the heat of a lightbulb fillament take the average path?

Now take:
1.5V @ 1 amp at 1% on time at 1KHz and
0.5V @ 500mA at 20% on time at 1KHz,
...hook it up to a lightbulb and see which one is brighter.

John, I have to say 55 years is a long time to be:

You know what, its a mind set. I am sorry John but really... Ever heard of a Tractor? A Bobcat? A small Digger?

To do such a thing for 55 years without using ones common sense to improve the situation surely shows the problem we are faced with in todays world! John, You can do  better than this!

Now in response to the second part of your question.

If you would like, do this theoretically, I bet your hands are sore!

Take your Right Hand, take your theoretical Transformer, loaded with a theoretical load, apply your Right Hand to the transformer when one half Cycle is at Peak Power, once to the Primary, once again to the Secondary.

What is your theoretical Result?
