this is similar to an idea i've been preparing,
though yours is not allowing the trajectory rotors magnet(s), to be able to pass 45degree angled stator magnet array(s),
and maybe some needed field dampeners.

though i had to comment now when i saw what your working on because its similar.

the idea is trying to use the exact same principles as a linear permanent magnet rail gun.
some of those do work well in their linear mode.

one other thing i just noticed, is that you might be using steel that your stator magnets are fixed onto,
theres a good chance it could produce better results using something non conductive rather than steel.
any metals will cause some sort of effect,
if they are to be used for any area of the rotation area where magnets might produce fields.
this too is another reason why it might not run on its own.

also wondering if there is no need for more than 2 stator rails
(angled at 45 degree angles according to the direction of the rotor magnet(s) travel like a railgun),
rather than the 5 that you have used, in order to prevent overlapping fields.

there is also the option to stack these wheels in rows as one machine.

and also have more than one rotor stator array set
if more are embedded into the wheel itself at different incriments of the radius
as it reaches towards the center of the wheel(s). provided there is no detrimental field overlap occuring.

overlapping fields can be adjusted with enough distance,
and or use of dampening insulators, shape of magnet, and strength of magnet.

i'm no expert on building one of these, and who is really? until something gets built that actually works using just magnets.
its good though, the open source approach.
