The article says a 200 KW unit only weighs around 250 pounds.

Now that is exciting!  BLP has highly qualified research people who have been at this a long time.  It appears they will have something early next year that will be in service and generating lots of power.   It's stated they already have seven firms lined up with licenses for 8.75 gigawatts of power production.   The only downside I see is they aren't looking at marketing to individual home users but maybe eventually it will become available in that format.

This sounds to me like complete hogwash...

If these guys really had the resources and funding, and the ability to implement new ideas quicker than any modern
thinktank...

they would have developed a photovoltaic cell to convert the frequencies output directly by their device.
Why the need for a "black body radiation absorber" to convert the freq. of the light?
this is a waste of time and energy.

Just make the junction to capture the wavelength you want to capture.
The ONLY reason our cells are made the way they are, is because of the (avg) freq. of light radiating from the SUN@!

If they have a way to produce some quantity of light, that's great.
But why all the work around, when it comes to qualitating "how much light" is available?
and why the ridiculous conversion process?

It just doesn't add up to me... I dunno.

Its BS. The company has been around since 91and has delivered nothing. Milking investors periodically to keep r&d going on a technology that has erroneous foundations.

It takes a long time to do research that can produce a product ready for production.  Yes they have been around a long time and I've followed them almost from the start.  Now if you believe they are completely lying about having 7 energy firms lined up with licenses for 8.75 Gigawatts of power than maybe they are without merit.   However would these people be buying licenses if they had not thoroughly investigated the device?  In all the time I've followed Mills and BLP I don't recall ever seeing them claim they had this agreement with anyone nor do I recall them saying they would have a ready product in less than a year (first quarter 2017).   These guys are not backyard garage scientists nor are they Steorn orbo goofballs just trying to suck in investors.  I will believe they have something real and exciting until proven otherwise.
