Why? Space station has no magnetosphere. Earths magnetic field is getting weaker and traveling very fast right now. They think the poles are about to flip. The magnetic field goes to near zero when this happens. Cancer rates will go up for us pink people.

More of our atmosphere gets blown away by eruptions on the sun when the magnetic field is weak. Mars atmosphere is still being scrapped away by the amount of a hamburger a second. Adds up over time. Add in man made global warming that exacerbates the natural situation and we are definitely screwed.
