I hope no one has taken my questions wrong I am not a physics student nor a mathmatician.

I believe gravity to be the greatest natural source of energy in the universe and that it can be used.

I have an idea I'm working on so that's why I was curious as to the rpm's such a device might turn.

Since it rotates wouldn't that be like an infinite freefall the weight constantly being replaced by the successive kind of like a relay race where the baton is passed off.so would it reach terminal velocity or just the 32'/sec/sec

By this definition the device I am contemplating wouldn't be perpetual motion.

I guess I'll call it a naturally fueled engine if it works since gravity would be considered an external source of energy.

I'm still curious about the rpm's.  Even considering the fact of friction and heat loss if it is converting enough energy from gravity to rotate itself and a generatorwill it continue at that speed or slow down or speed up.

You just sound like a curious, searching individual with a definite goal in mind.

Amos, 26rpm was the speed of Bessler's fourth exhibited wheel.  The prior wheels rotated faster.  The third wheel was only a few inches smaller, so speed v. radius doesn't correlate.  http://www.orffyre.com/measurements.html
