I want to begin to experiment with a cell, i try to find lye but i cannot find it in my area, can i use baking soda instead?

I got my own hydrogen project I'm working on.

Nor am I saying anything negative about what IH is teaching you.

My point was that so far most of this 60+ page thread has been about building something other than the original displayed prototype. On top of that the assembly for the SGi cell was ultra easy, and the only thing you would need to learn about would be the driving circuit. Now its the cell thats uber complicated and you guys aren't even to the driving circuit yet. It just seems a lot less practical to me, then showing us how to build the SGi...

Also if you look at other project's notes on neutral plates you'll see lots of designs that got more efficient once the neutral plates where removed. My opinion is the new cell being built is just that, something new and not the device that got everyone so excited about this thread.

Be angry with me if you must, but I'm only stating what I see.

he was out of commission for a bit there you know and you really cannot expect someone to devote every waking moment of their spare time to the boards, i mean after all he is doing this as a favor to all of us.

I think you will find that he has earned our respect.  look at the successful cells being made that sort of speaks for his work doesnt it?

I check the vids every so often and i have yet to see anyone who is approaching the kind of output he gets from these cells.

I am the bad boy he speaks of who chose to make the t cell i suppose because it was the first video of hydrogen i saw that really impressed me LOL

If you read the previous posts you can see IH is into some pretty advanced HHO production technique and you will find his answers make sense and work.  So he has my respect and i have confidence we will all have some kool generators when this class is over!

@ Dingus Look I am not sure what your building over there but if you followed these instruction you will clearly get as much HHO at this point as you would with the NS-T cell with out all the side effects. You seem to think other wise . Maybe it is because of the surface tension you see in the that cell making it look like so much more gas than this S-Cell where the gas breaks the surface so fast you can hear it. Or you have not followed instructions and you are getting crap for production I am not sure which.

So I am thinking what you really need is some help with your cell as it is clearly not producing for you . So tell us and we will help you solve the problem.

The One you can use bake if you like  just do everything possible to not breath bake  same as you would with lye . Bake gases to produce a lot of carbon monoxide.So you have to vent this out an I would run this through a carbon filter system if I were you . Lye does not Gas and linger around if you can find some  later on

Also ResinRat and I have been talking through PMs and  his reseach is leading us to new places . We are going to  be replacing the electrolyte as soon as my experiments are done. With the little I am able to do right now  I am very impressed with what the results are in a brute force cell. We will talk about this soon I have things to do first.
