from the video we can say the device will spin if you start to spin manually, it cannot be started alone, i dont think its halback array for the magnet, sound like more small cylinder magnet

Hi guys,

On the third video, obviously, something is spinning.
Perhaps it would not spin during days or hours. That is another question.

This let me think about the Hamel spinning device or about this very 'motor':

Very creative work too. This gentelman is using a candle holder and a screwdriver.

About 3/4 of the way through the second video, someone states that the stator magnets are "magnetized through the skinny". Discussion? Diametric?

I believe what the experimenters said was that it spins down to half speed in about two minutes and stops a few minutes after that.  They also said it has good bearings and spins better without the magnets than with.  That suggests only a flywheel effect.

Interesting video.  I wonder why he has to hold the top magnet in his hands and move it around ever so slightly to keep the very brief spin going?  You'd think he'd just put that top magnet on an adjustable stand-- it wouldn't take much time or money and he'd have at least a marketable toy if it kept spinning.  I think moving the magnet around with his hand is what makes the screwdriver spin.  I doubt that it would work if everything was attached to a simple wood frame.  Anyway, he should try that!
