Well i havent been on in awhile but i was browsing round on youtube and clickin links here and there and ended up on google vids, when i found what seems to be what we might have been hopeing for.

This was very recent too

the first video link shows an arrangement where the rotor appears to have no initial cogging going into the stators..right at 33-34 sec mark its boldy clear that it takes little or no force to push the rotor through then it has a huge torque increase and no sticky spot just smooth sailing....but never shows it moving past 180 degrees, idk if it means there might be some kinda resistance there or what but it seems that if you add another magnet on the opposite side of the rotor it would continue....i got very exciting from this

Now this video is also promising...It was made supposedly 2 days before the first link i posted. It shows a diferent setup that has a noticable cogging point but i could imagine with some fine tunning and maybe another magnet on the motor placed at a point where its in full torque spot and the other is in cog spot it seems like with proper spacing they would pull each other through there cogs, the cog seems miniscule compared to the propulsion that ensues...maybe its just me idk?!?!

Does anybody knnow anymore info on these vids, maybe some names or sites or anything?

Ergo

I'm sorry to have to tell you that this does not look promising at all.

1. The rotor will always find equilibrium state, as in the video.
2: If the guy somehow could get past the sticky point of this motor without adding energy he would discover
that it is extremely weak and would stop after a while anyway. Just as all other magnet balancing rotors/motors.
The sticky point just eats all of the released energy from the magnets.
3: A magnet motor of any use must be able to provide useful torque. It canot be done by balancing magnets.
It will fail, as always. Shieldings won't work either.

But I'm amazed how much work he has put into his motor. It's a pretty cool design. :-\

hartiberlin

Dietmar Hohl is on the right way.
With a retreating stator iron plate (fixed with some kind of spring),
which would go back and forth when the rotor comes in ( simular to Finsrud?s device)
this would even work better.

He is still waiting for his second rotor magnets to arrive.

Regards, Stefan.

This is very similar to a couple of thoughts tossed around here, it looks pretty good, he didn't beat the sticky point, only weakened it and is using flywheel motion to carry it one. I you watch the video cosely you will see the deceleration as the rotor mag leaves the gate.
