JD offered to send me the complete DVD so I contacted him by e-mail to see how to get it.

Regarding his short video, notice that when he puts the ammeter next to the TPU and reads around 123 this means 1.23 amps. But here was no load connected to the TPU when he read this. But there has to be a load to read the amperage. So I think the load is the looping back of the power returning into the  TPU, and the real output load of lamps is then connected in parallel to the loop. Does this make any sense. Also about the ammeter, do you think they had DC ammeters in 97. My clamp on ammeter is a recent model that is both Ac and DC but these are rare. I think his meter was AC only. I am trying to find any specs on the ammeter he used but no luck yet.

You mentioned that you think the magnet(s) used in the demos where to activate a reed switch. Was there any direct talk of this. Was there any mention of two-way or three-way reeds.

If you look at the Large TPU (LPTU) around 1:43, you see it is recessed into the outer wooden ring. Why then use silicone on the center platform that is curiously just as high. I think there is something under the base.

The magnets used in the smaller units were operating a single pole reed to close the primary.

The white silicon you see about the inner perimeter is just acting as a means of keeping the assembly cemented together. Although difficult to see in the video, the wood base and rings are no more than just speaker components from Spheric and none are recessed. Remember, Steven was too paranoid to have anyone help build the units so the construction methods used are that of an 8th grade shop class.

JD probably never saw the cut-away video but when you look at a cut-away, it is clear that the outer ring rises higher then the base of the TPU leaving ample space inside the ring if the center platform was only a thin sheet that needed be secured in place with white silicone going around the inside perimeter of the TPU. This would confirm usage and placing of batteries that he obviously needed to start the TPU.

Hi Everyone,

Yes MeggerMan is right, I received a DVD of the TPU videos from Jack as of Saturday. The one VOB file that Rob has is incomplete because there are actually 5 of them on the disc itself.

I'm guessing you are all anxious to get your hands on this so I took everything on the disc and put it into a ZIP file and will be hosting it as a torrent so everyone can download it (and get a faster download speeds once people get the whole thing and help seed it). I'm working on setting up the program so I can host the torrent file. Once I get it up and running, I'll start a new thread with additional information about the video, some screen shots, and a download link. I should have it all ready to go in a few hours so check back soon and get your torrent software up and running!

***** .ISO ******   is a real nice format that will maintain the integrity of the original disk t.  Plus you can mount it in a virtual drive or burn the image but it you have a way to just image the dvd with IMGBURN/ clone cd any of the normal ones.. Imgburn is free thats why i recommend it and its interface is about the same as clone dvd or clone cd from slysoft 6  buttons and thats it. It would be great that way to keep an image of the original dvd with no degradation.
