DC non pulsed high voltage power supply

I don't know if this is the right place to put this question, but I'm in need of a DC non-pulsed variable high voltage power supply in the area of 5k-30k. Where could I find such an item? Would I have to have one that worked off of batteries? The only kind of high voltage power supplies I've seen are AC powered and pulsed current. I need a pure non-pulsed DC supply. Anybody know? TIA

I can put you in touch with a fellow that has around eight brand new 1000W extra auto transformer ballasts that he's looking to let go. I know they're ready for a capacitor case a or ignitor setup.  The capacitors are included. If you would like to make an offer or get in touch with him, PM me and I'll hook it up for you.

Build what?  A cap case? I'm sure he would put it together for you if you needed. What type of variable do you need for it? What are they for? Telsa coil or just a PS for something?

Need a high voltage pure DC power supply for building electrets. Something from 5k to 30k. I also see that the flyback type transformers from old computer monitors is a good source of pure DC
