first let me say hello folks, then ask for your expert opinions ,a company here in the louisville area where i live has started putting hho boosters in cars for $2000 each.i seen the news clip today and they had it in the trunk of the 3rd gen firebird.my question is this,i have my booster ready to install, but in order to get in under the hood i would have to take out my radiator overflow, washer tank, and cut a hole in my car where the washer was at.i always heard to never put it in the trunk, but it would be so much easier and i wouldnt have to cut my car up.i seen on bob boyces video from the booster rally that he had his 101 plate cell in the trunk also.has anyone else out there put theirs in the trunk, and any other specials precautions i should know about?i would think it would be ok,but i have really learned alot from the forums and would really appreciate any help.......thank you very much... :)

My neighbor is building a system for this, and he has found that he loses a lot of HHO if the cell is much further than 3 ft from injection site.  He might be doing something wrong though.

thnxx for the reply,im pretty new to this.but i would think unless you have a leak somewhere,it should be about the same once it gets built up to whatever pressure it runs at.i hadnt really thought about that aspect though,i was more concerned with safety, but once also it needs to be efficient....thanks

Hi guys
I'm new on this forum, but I'm lurking here from long time. Regarding this topic, I think better to run your generator from the trunk (less heat, bigger space). I did try mine to install under the hood in my Ford windstar, but it got hot so fast, almost melted the plastic canister. The generator was running at 15amp plus the engine heat, and the California climate. So now I have it in the cabin. I did build a bigger bubbler, and I did install a flash arrestor too, for extra safety. Also I did notice, if your generator runs longer it gets hotter, and pulls more amps. So I did install a PWM controller, amp meter, and this way I can monitor, and control how much amps. the generator can pull. My next project to install a larger generator like Meyer had, next to what I have  now, and run it from pulse, to see how much gas I will get from two generator, and based on that adjust my EFIE controller.

how did you build the flash arrester, does the unit seem any less efficient after moved out of egine compartment?i dont know what kind of efie you use,but we got some plans somewhere on the internet to build a simple map circuit out of a pot, resistor and switch,it works great you can dial you amount of gas,we built ours for about $8,on ebay they go for around $70.has anybody else out there mounted their units in the trunk like i am considering,or i the only one with no room under the hood?.........thanks
