Safety Question

Greetings.

I'll be beginning some H making in a bit for my car, I still lack the O2 sensor widget to make it all work ok and my electrode design is not set yet. 

What I'm wondering about is this (and sorry if it has been asked already)...if you get a spark between your electrodes within your vessel, given that you have bubbles in there already, do you get a big booom-boom? (followed by big shatter?)  :o  Or is that more likely mostly with the larger quantities above the water level, already created, from a backfire, etc? (I know about bubblers, etc)

I'm wondering about the effects of using higher voltages (x* K volt range) with non-catalyzed water (distilled) though , if say an air gap forms because of bubbles between the electrodes,if that will increase the risk of a spark when using higher voltages..and what might happen? Because higher voltages can arc farther distances.

What did Meyer use? And how did he prevent sparking?...I've read he used some rather high voltages.

Is there a way to calculate a minimum electrode distance for safe working given some used voltage?

Just wondering...

I also got one of those 30A MX066 PWM beasts from Bakatronics,  says it only goes to 100Hz. Not sure if that is going to be high enough given what I've read here.

I had some underwater arcing with some of my 1st experiments, but no ignition, and the vid posters above seem to have had the same experience.

The part L  however  by virtue of its self induction  offers a strong opposition to such a sudden discharge  wile the condenser on the other hand offers no such opposition ......TESLA..

i do agree but under water arcing is NOT  for the newbies i did some of this accidantally and it was too crazy for me in fact i ended up welding
