just a minor technical note:  To obtain the same apothem angle of the great pyramid ( 51.877 degrees), the individual triangles on the faces should have base-angles of :

arctan((sqrt(1+arctan(51.877*pi / 180)^2)))*180 / pi = 51.150 degrees.

slightly smaller than the 52 degrees you quoted.
