Yes, to master radiant energy is one goal.  This will relieve the suffering caused by the energy robber barons, and make life more economical.  But this is more about transforming the human spirit into a more tolerant, loving form which can coexist with his neighbors in a amicable manner.  To end hunger, war, and ignorance is a far greater goal than producing free energy.  It has been told that mankind will not be able to master the great powers until he has mastered the fundamental  humanities.  The hungry must be fed.  The homeless must be sheltered.  The wars must end.  Until mankind knows how to live peacefully with those that inhabit his own world, he will not be permitted to travel the galaxy.  Advanced technology is only permitted to those who have advanced spirits.  Love must be the foundation of your being before you can wield galactic power.  Advanced technologies have extraordinary power which can be used to create or destroy.  It is the spirit which determines how this power is used.  Frankly, the Galactic Forces which regulate these powers will not permit powers such as these to be used without the proper prerequisites and training.  To do so may result in unmitigated destruction.  So, you must be worthy to wield the power before you are permitted to access it.  This would explain the relatively low success rate with Free Energy Devices.  We, as a planet, must show that we are worthy to wield such power before before we can freely access it.  As the Earth sheds the people who would abuse this power we will see Free Energy increasingly more easy to access.  It is all a matter of time.  By 2012 it should be relatively easy to access.

@z.monkey - Expanding on this somewhat, and presuming that 'conventional physics' is but a subset of real physics - were someone from the 10th century given say, a modern DC motor, he would find that it simply 'didn't work', because the 'time wasn't right', (for him) in much the same way that FE is proving a b*tch for us to crack!  Rather than 'real physics', 'spooky physics' seems more appropriate...

btw, ever consider that the reason that there are so many people on earth at this time is that many want to experience the much-anticipated upcoming 'events' in person - a kinda 'bums on seats' thing...

in reality he is an 80 something year old professor at cambridge or something, with an ego-streak as big as an airplane, and a negativity streak as big as a runway.

but i think that a majority of what bellclunker says, has some truth in it.

I noted your "fossil" comment in some other thread regarding the aged, and the intrinsic worth of their philosophies (or lack thereof!)  Just wondering what your age-cut-off-point is, you know, where 'new-age' thinking kicked in? 

Regarding the soul thing, yes, I've read this from time to time as well.  However, until someone comes up with a 'soul-detector', it is just meaningless waffle.  It's hard to see what would be the point of allowing 4 billion automatons free-reign here - surely the "ascended masters" aren't that hard up for company...
