from my point of view, anyone who believes in aliens, reptillian devils, angels, ascended masters, jedi masters, pleiadians, sirians, beta reticulans, elves, dwarves, hobgoblins, dopplegangers, dragons, wyverns, xorn, etc. is "deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow".
you want a 'brave new world'? we have a future of limited and partially ruinous warfare to look forward to, if our past is any indication of our future.
you want someone to come save you from the bad things? save yourself. when you wait for, or demand that someone else come save you, you end up with things like government, or galactic federations... ::)
