I think you are a very good example of a typically programed individual who only thinks inside his box and not outside.  Your mind seems to be set to the opinion that we are the only beings in the universe, and the universe revolves around this planet.

beedees, my wife is a great cook. while the "alien" was my invention that had generated strangely and disturbingly lively response from the curious (don't they have mental institutions in their countries...?) her recipes are certainly real.

For example: Colombian rice for 4:

Cook one cup of rice in 2 cups of water with 1/2 onion cut in rings and added to the water. Add salt to your taste (min one spoon for rice to softens) and olive oil (or sunflower)

When water evaporates, reduce the heat and cook the rice until a crust is created at the bottom of the pot. Stirr very lightly and only two-three times to mix the oil taste, but not to mash the rice...

Cook the hairthin pasta separately and when rice is ready, mix them together.

Cut chicken breast into thin strips (the size of your kids fingers, but leave the fingers alone, ok?) and cook in water for 10 mins. Throw a bit of salt and red paprika on them, put them then into pan and fry with a little bit of oil to brown them up a little.

Mix with rice and pasta, make a fresh salad with letucce, tomato, spring onions and cucumbers, dress it up with red vinegar and sunflower oil.

And enoy.

If you like that, the next one will be the quick potato and cooked egg soup. Delicious and quick when you are hungry but just couldn't give a flick about preparing something "sofisticated".

Get some life, get a pet and be responsible for something real if there's nothing else you can do in your empty lives. A cat or a dog, hell even a canary would do. It could give you a sense of purpose, a responsibility.
