if we could somehow mimic the electrical properties of atoms,specific elements like aluminum...i mean thinking first off how it reacts with other substances like water couldn't we then model these electrical propeties on a nanoscale?that is,create a minute circuit which basically "tricks" the water into "thinking" that it is oxidizing aluminum,iron or even lithium.basically thinking of reactions as organic pathways for reaction and modelling them accordingly. i found this after i posted http://pubs.acs.org/cen/news/84/i48/8448notw8.html
