No cooling system, etc. No pollution (of course an onboard generator would cause some air polllution but nothing comparable to a big diesel.  The main problem is, of course, that Jakelj's patents have all expired.  Therefore, when getting started secrecy and legal protection would be mandatory.  All improvements and developments made during the intial phase would have to be patented and it would be necessary to start in a third world country (my preference would be the Philippines) to avoid the fate of people like Tucker and the more recent developers of electric cars.  The big oil companies and auto manufacturers play dirty and in most cases are above the law because they own the lawmakers.  I could come up with more ideas to assure success, but the first thing would be to build working models in different sizes so as to get some idea of the performance of the motor in different functions.  That's where things stand now.  If you want a copy of Jakelj's treatise and patent, I'll be happy to email it to you.

The prototype is in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, at the Jakelj family home which now belongs to his widow if she is still alive, or his two children, his son Tomaz, who lives in Ljubljana, Slovenia, or his daughter, whose name I don't recall. A prototype for the last version (1992 DC motor with annular coil) was supposedly built at a factory in Ljubljana called "Litostroj" ..I don't know whether it still exists or not.
