Hard to have gun related deaths when all the lower (poverty) countries can afford is sharpened sticks.  Your data is skewed.  Hey, why not check on how many automobile deaths occur in lower Dizumbuntoo.  Probably not many because they can't afford CARS!  Also, your data for the US includes (as you stated) deaths from murders, crimes, gang shootings, as well as self-protection.  So, if you were here and got shot while being robbed, you would be in those numbers.  If I shoot someone while they are trying to rob or kill me, now I am in those same numbers.  The data presented this way is meaningless.  A gun has never in the history of the world, killed anyone.  Not even once.  There is some hard data for you.

There are those people who will choose to "live by the sword, die by the sword" in order to keep the government in check.  (Republic/Democracy)

The US is probably the LEAST corrupt major government in the world period (regardless of who is President).  Why? Because the people control who is in office. 

And there is a fairy at the back of my garden who is very liberal with head jobs. (They don't call her the tooth fairy for nothing.)
