Caduceus-wound coils... in effect, a coil that is at right angles to itself. Very interesting properties that you might want to check out. Especially in combination with the usual hairpin bifilars and tricky trifilars, or even ordinary single, round, aircore coils.




And...er..... I'm not really sure about that Tesla attribution. Got a reference I can check?

Caduceus coil.  Tito did mention a figure 8. Forest should remember that. I believe we thought he was talking about a "figure" 8, a diagram from Tesla or something.

If I remember correctly, these coils caused headaches for experimenters in the Kapanadze thread. I didnt want to risk it as I get migraines. I dont want to do anything that might trigger that. Car fumes, more the ones from cars that are not running correctly or too rich, are my kryptonite.  there are probably other trigger also, but I have not identified them yet.

If you dont mind me asking, can you explain what the difference is with this coil or describe the result compared to a regular coil? ;]

And are the windings 90deg at crossings or could it be 1 coil wound one direction and another wound on top of the first in the opposite direction? Resulting in more crossings per length of coil, just not at steep angles.

90 degree crossings, with plenty of room between the "X"s. They are supposed to produce longitudinal scalar waves, whatever they are. I've used one to transmit a signal to a receiver inside a pretty good Faraday cage... don't know if I can repeat that though, have to check. I'm not sure just how a conventional receiver picks up scalar transmissions, but maybe that doesn't matter... since I don't believe they exist anyway. Doesn't keep me from using them when I can, though.
