in Linden , Switzerland and speaking with the mechanist Luzi Cathomen, a close friend of inventor
Paul Baumann in his workshop about the construction of the different Testatika machines.

How old are these videos? Paul Baumann is dead. I doubt that Mr. cathomen can finish these machines alone. Has the secret of the machine gone to the grave with Baumann?
How about organizing a trip to Methernitha by someone who knows more about the machines? Talking directly to the people instead of second-guessing all the time? Have they become more hermetic? about showing things to outsiders?

There are rumours, that he deceased and
other say, that he is still alive...

well the only thing I can say is contact them. I sent them an e-mail about a year ago and got a reply-probably made automatically, that I could send a fax asking for a rendez-vous. Why not try it?
They use this testatika machine for advertising their community. Otherwise it would not make sense at all to make it public.
What is needed here is a demystification process. All the people working on this have to get together, write a catalog of questions and send someone to see this machine. Someone who KNOWS how to see, where to look and how to interpret the signs correctly. Working around in the dark trying to replicate this thing when no one has even the faintest idea how it works is wasting time. The guys at www.hcrs.at (Harald Chmela from Vienna) seem to me to be the ones most down to earth about it. They tackle it one problem at a time.
A word of caution at the end: I have seen the Wimshurst machine of Mr. Karl Kehrle in Munich. He wrote a book (Experimente mit selbst gebauten Influenzmaschinen) where he describes his machines. The machine he made has 3 ft (1m) diameter discs. About the size of the smaller prototype of testatika.
The machine uses no segments at all on the disks which means that it does not start by itself. It has to be excited by transferring charge to one of the disks first. But then it delivers a 70 cm spark with enough power behind it to kill a horse.
I have built two smaller wimshurst machines myself and can only say that the testatika would NOT work as an influence machine. The segments on the disks are far too close to each other - one would get corona discharges all across the discs. The whole machine has not been built with regard to avoiding corona discharges. That means it will not deliver enough "klapf" (Cathomen). So the principle has to be a different one.
I would like to get in touch with the Woynar group and see what they are doing...
