or he can have both mosfets at gnd but primary of transformer has to be dual (push pull)

There is using PNP and NPN bipolar transistors, each on their half-wave.

I listed that patent number,i have read it before and there is no mention of a spark gap running at 50 Hz, i am sorry but there isn´t
It would be valuable to actually find that stated in a patent (less speculation then), that´s why i was interested in knowing about it.

Since you mention the word comparator, there is no such word in the patent, so you might have given the wrong link.

BUT while reading through it again (and again and again hehe)
i stumbled upon the words :

4- High frequency generator

5- First filter

So this could either indicate the PWM sine inverter where with the filter the high frequencies are being filtered out.
Or we still have to consider the use of high frequency signals (at least in the device talked about in the patent)

Here is a russian interpretation of SR´s circuit.
The spark gap seems to feed that thin wire that maybe just runs under the thick wire along the coil former to ground (as visible in the video)
The signal generator part is still a bit unsubstantiated.

Actually as this schematic is right now, this looks like a standard sine inverter 12 V to 220 V with the only difference that a high voltage pulse
is being run through the coil via the spark gap and that the blue coil winding differs.
