I just post on youtube one of my first experiment with ferrite core transformer. Please do not judge me wrong if there is something you all been testing for the long time. I just would be happy if this could help to solve puzzle around this humanity worth device. Hey man.
You could help folks understand by stating:
What frequencies,waveforms , voltages you are running into the transformer?
What is in the core except ferrite?
So a circuit diagram would be illustrative.
It reminds of Zatzarinin.

However, considering this quote:

If by any chance the output frequency is not 50Hz and it becomes 50Hz by going through the PNP-NPN transistors, then I recall that such complementary pairs are also used as frequency doublers, can they be here used for doubling the frequency?  But in that case their bases and emitters are what are connected as in a push pull connection...
Maybe the Russian made transistors shown have a mirror imaged pin-outs?

Transistor connection seems very close to Don Smith device described in his freely available pdf  book

I think i identified the base feed wire (or maybe the Vsupply wire) marked with green arrows. Really hard to see in the video/pics because it has a light grey color.
@Gyula: You are right, for this to be a push-pull stage the pinout would have to mirrored on the left transistor.

@forest: So you are saying that Don Smith has a base-to-emitter transistor pair depicted in one of his books? I have read all his stuff and never came across anything like that. The only thing i have seen by him is the most common standard push-pull stage we are discussing here.

oops sorry my mistake.Don Smith circuit has two npn transistors B-C connected.I'm not good in electronics :-(
